Important Product-Definition Note

"KYC Loan" is not a standard RBI-defined loan category like Home Loan or Vehicle Loan.

For a lending portal, it is safer to define this product as

"Digital / small-ticket personal loan with KYC or eKYC based onboarding."

Do NOT imply that completing KYC alone guarantees a loan. The lender must still assess creditworthiness and repayment capacity.

Eligibility Criteria - Recommended Portal Baseline
  • Indian resident / citizen as per lender policy.
  • Minimum age: use 21+ as a conservative multi-lender personal-loan screening default unless the specific lender product says otherwise.
  • Valid PAN / tax identification as required.
  • Successful KYC / customer due diligence.
  • Active mobile number linked to the application journey.
  • Active bank account in applicant's own name for disbursal/repayment.
  • Serviceable geography / PIN code.
  • Acceptable bureau/credit profile.
  • Verifiable source of income or other lender-approved repayment-capacity evidence.
  • No material identity mismatch, fraud flag, sanctions/AML issue, or duplicate/impersonation concern.
  • Final approval subject to the regulated lender's underwriting policy.
